The book (not yet available) R you ready? - Ein Einstieg für Human- und Sozialwissenschaftler is written in German for R beginners. It is directed towards social scientists who do not have any experience with a programming language. The book will gently guide you towards understanding the R language and making your own analysis.

We started the R you ready blog as a kind of learner's diary. When you start with R, I recommend doing a similar thing to enforce your learning process. Today, I use the blog to write small posts about things I find interesting and managed to solve using R. It is listed on R-bloggers , a great ressource, where many more R-blogs can be found.
